Lansing battled back to best Beloit on Tuesday. Third baseman Tommy White had a big night at the plate. Last year’s 2nd-round draft pick for the A’s went 3 for 5 while hitting his 6th home run and his 11th double, and he’s now 6 for 13 with 5 extra-base hits over his last 4 games for Lansing. White is slashing .423/.464/.962 during the month of May, and his .558 slugging percentage and .959 OPS are both bests for Lansing this season. First baseman T.J. Schofield-Sam singled, tripled, was hit by a pair of pitches and scored 3 runs, while second baseman Casey Yamauchi went 2 for 3 with a triple, was hit by a pitch and drove in a pair of runs. Left fielder Nate Nankil had 3 hits and drove in 3, and right fielder Jared Dickey singled, doubled and drove in a pair for the Lugnuts. Starter Grant Judkins, allowed 6 runs, just 2 earned, in 5 2/3 frames, while RHP Henry Gomez threw 1 1/3 scoreless innings in relief to pick up the win, and RHP Mark Adamiak tossed a scoreless 9th to notch his 8th save for Lansing.
