On a day when all the A’s affiliates went down to defeat, LHP Wei-En Lin turned in another strong pitching performance for the Ports. The 19-year-old Taiwanese southpaw allowed 2 runs on 5 hits while notching 8 strikeouts without issuing a walk over 6 innings of work before leaving the game with a five-run lead. Lin threw 85 pitches, 61 for strikes, and he now leads the squad with 50 strikeouts while issuing just 3 walks in 33 2/3 innings for Stockton this season. LHP Riley Huge gave up 2 runs in the top of the 9th to tie the game, while LHP Brayan Restituyo allowed 2 runs, 1 earned, in the top of the 10th, and RHP Felix Castro was charged with 1 unearned run in the top of the 11th to suffer the loss for Stockton. Right fielder Cameron Leary singled twice, walked, swiped a pair of bases and drove in a run, while first baseman Jared Sprague-Lott homered, drew a walk, drove in a pair and scored twice. Second baseman Gunner Gouldsmith had a pair of hits, including a double, drew a walk and drove in 2 runs, and catcher Davis Diaz singled, doubled and drove in a pair for the Ports.
