Despite a big night by left fielder CJ Alexander, Las Vegas suffered its second straight one-run loss to Reno on Saturday. Alexander tripled and scored a run in the 2nd inning, homered in the 3rd inning, singled in a run in the 5th inning and then doubled in a run in the 7th inning to complete the cycle. Alexander’s 8 home runs tie him for the league lead, while his 28 RBIs are tops on the team. Designated hitter Daniel Susac went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double and drove in 2 runs, while third baseman Max Muncy homered for the second straight night and drove in a pair. Right fielder Colby Thomas hit his 8th home run, and first baseman Logan Davidson drilled a pair of doubles and scored twice for the Aviators. RHP Mason Barnett had a shaky start, surrendering 7 runs in 4 2/3 frames, while RHP Jack Cushing gave up 3 runs in 2 1/3 innings of relief to suffer the loss for Las Vegas.
