RHP Gunnar Hoglund turned in another solid start to lead Las Vegas to its third straight victory on Sunday. The 25-year-old righty allowed just 3 hits while walking 1 and striking out 5 through 5 scoreless frames to earn the win, and he’s now failed to allow a run in his last 9 innings of work. On the season, Hoglund has compiled an ERA of 2.43 through 29 2/3 innings while notching 30 strikeouts. Center fielder Denzel Clarke tripled, doubled, drew a walk, drove in a pair of runs and scored twice, while third baseman CJ Alexander homered, walked twice and scored twice. Left fielder Drew Avans collected a pair of hits, drew a walk and scored a run, and designated hitter Willie MacIver singled, doubled and drove in a pair for the Aviators.
