Despite third baseman Myles Naylor’s best efforts, Stockton lost for only the second time in its last eight games on Wednesday. With his team trailing by a run, the 20-year-old infielder stepped to the plate with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 5th inning and slugged a grand slam to give Stockton a three-run lead. In his last 8 games, Naylor has gone 10 for 33 while hitting 5 home runs and driving in 11 runs for the Ports, and his 5 homers are now tops in the California League.
