The Ports put double digits on the board to win for the sixth time in their last seven games on Tuesday. 21-year-old shortstop and leadoff hitter Ali Camarillo led the way for Stockton. Last year’s 12th-round draft pick for the A’s collected 5 hits, including a pair of doubles, stole a base, drove in 4 runs and scored twice, and Camarillo now leads the squad in both hits and doubles while also boasting a team-best batting average of .348. Center fielder Pedro Pineda also had a big day at the plate, going 4 for 4 with a double and a walk while driving in a pair of runs for the Ports. RHP Nathan Dettmer, 2023’s 5th-round pick, turned in another solid start, throwing 5 scoreless frames to earn his 2nd win for Stockton.

Midland was shut out on five hits on Tuesday. Center fielder Junior Perez and right fielder Henry Bolte had a pair of hits apiece, while third baseman Colby Halter singled for the Hounds. RHP Kade Morris turned in a solid start, allowing 2 runs, just 1 earned, while striking out 7 in 6 1/3 innings of work, but he still ended up taking the loss for Midland.

HR: Conn (1), White (1)

Lansing lost to Fort Wayne in a slugfest on Tuesday. RHP Jake Garland had a rough start, surrendering 7 runs, 6 earned, through 5 frames, while RHP Jake Pfennigs gave up 5 runs in just 2/3 of an inning, and RHP Henry Gomez allowed 2 runs in the top of the 9th to take the loss for Lansing. Catcher Cole Conn had 3 hits, including a home run and a double, drew a pair of walks and drove in 4 runs, while third baseman Tommy White walked, singled, doubled and hit a two-run homer for the Lugnuts in the loss.
