After suffering one-run losses in their first two games of the season, a trio of Ports pitchers combined to no-hit the Grizzlies on Sunday. Jefferson Jean was dominant in his first start of the season for Stockton. The 20-year-old Dominican righty threw 5 scoreless and hitless frames, issuing just 1 walk while striking out 5 to earn the win. Jean threw just 53 pitches, 37 of them for strikes. 21-year-old Taiwanese RHP Tzu-Chen Sha replaced him on the mound and pitched 3 perfect innings while notching 6 strikeouts. 19-year-old Venezuelan RHP Wilfred Alvarado then retired the side in order in the 9th to secure the save and complete the no-hitter on Sunday. Left fielder C.J. Pittaro singled, doubled and drew a walk, and catcher Tommy Takayoshi had a pair of hits, walked and drove in the first run of the day for the Ports.
