Within a few days after the end of the World Series, not only do a number of major league players become free agents, but a flood of minor league free agents also hit the open market. And a couple dozen A’s minor league players became minor league free agents this week.
Prior to this, another half-dozen players – pitchers Kyle Muller, Aaron Brooks, Brandon Bielak and Gerardo Reyes and infielders Abraham Toro and Tyler Nevin – all of whom appeared for the A’s in 2024 but had been outrighted off the 40-man roster and assigned to Triple-A, were able to choose to become free agents based on their previous service time.
Aside from the six players previously mentioned, other minor league players who’ve previously appeared with the A’s to hit the free agent market include pitchers Zach Jackson, Austin Pruitt, Jack O’Loughlin and Francisco Perez, catcher Carlos Perez and infielders Jordan Diaz and Armando Alvarez.
Here’s a list of the of the 30 players not on the A’s 40-man roster who have become free agents since the end of the season…
