RHP Brandon Bielak turned in his best start yet for the Aviators to help lead Las Vegas to victory on Friday. The 28-year-old righty allowed just 1 run on 4 hits in 6 innings of work. He threw 65% of his pitches for strikes but, unfortunately, the Aviators didn’t score their first run until the 7th inning, when third baseman Logan Davidson slugged a solo shot to tie the game. Designated hitter Jordan Diaz drove in the winning run in the 8th inning with a sacrifice fly, and left fielder Colby Thomas then followed that up with a two-run single to provide some insurance for Las Vegas. RHP Gerardo Reyes tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief to pick up the victory, and RHP Grant Holman got the final three outs in the 9th to secure his 2nd save for Las Vegas.
