22-year-old shortstop Jacob Wilson had a huge night at the plate to lead Las Vegas to victory over Sacramento on Saturday. Last year’s top draft pick for the A’s singled twice, drew a walk, drilled a pair of home runs over the left field fence and drove in 4 runs on the night. Since returning from the injured list earlier this week, Wilson has gone 9 for 18 with 3 walks, and he’s now slashing .458/.494/.694 in 144 at-bats for Midland and Las Vegas this season. Left fielder Colby Thomas singled, walked and homered for the second straight night, while second baseman Jordan Diaz had 3 hits, drew a walk and scored 3 runs. First baseman Drew Lugbauer singled, doubled, drew a walk and scored twice, and designated hitter Brett Harris doubled, walked twice and drove in a pair. Starter Brandon Bielak allowed 4 runs, 3 earned, in 6 innings of work to earn the victory for Las Vegas.
