Gunnar Hoglund turned in another outstanding start to lead Midland to victory on Friday. The 24-year-old righty allowed just 3 hits while striking out 8 through 5 2/3 scoreless innings to lower his ERA to 3.20 and record his 7^th win for the RockHounds. Hoglund has now allowed just 5 earned runs in 34 innings over his last 6 starts for Midland. RHP Colin Peluse threw 1 2/3 scoreless innings in relief, while LHP Austin Briggs secured the save despite giving up a run in the 9^th. Center fielder Denzel Clarke singled, doubled and drove in a run, while first baseman Brennan Milone doubled and drew a walk, and right fielder Jeisson Rosario singled, walked and drove in a run for the RockHounds.
