Right fielder Junior Perez helped the RockHounds record a 9-6 win in the opener of their six-game series versus the Missions on Tuesday. The 22-year-old Dominican outfielder collected 4 hits, 3 of them doubles, stole a base, drove in a run and scored a pair of runs for the RockHounds. Perez has now notched 12 doubles and 14 stolen bases while sporting a .444 slugging percentage in 38 games for Midland. Left fielder Colby Thomas tripled, doubled, drew a pair of walks, drove in a run, scored twice and stole a base, while first baseman Brennan Milone had 3 hits, including a triple, scored twice and drove in 3 runs for the RockHounds. Starter Domingo Robles was charged with 3 runs in 3 2/3 innings, while RHP Jack Perkins allowed 2 unearned runs in 3 innings of work to pick up the win, and RHP Danis Correa pitched a scoreless 9th to notch the save in his first appearance for Midland.
