Left fielder Nate Nankil had a big night to help the Ports prevail over Visalia on Tuesday. Last year’s 7th-round draft pick for the A’s homered in the 3rd inning to tie the game and then doubled in what would prove to be the winning run in the 4th. Nankil also drew a walk and drove in a total of 3 runs in the game, and the 21-year-old is now slashing .274/.423/.500 in 18 games for Stockton this season. Shortstop Myles Naylor slugged a three-run homer, while third baseman Luke Mann and first baseman Darlyn Montero had a pair of hits apiece for the Ports. Starter Yunior Tur was charged with 4 runs, just 1 earned, through 3 innings, while LHP Diego Barrera tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief to pick up the win. RHP Jackson Finley allowed 1 run in 2 innings of work, and RHP Ryan Brown tossed 2 scoreless frames to close out the win and secure the save for Stockton.
