After starting off the year with three straight losses, the Aviators notched their first win of the season on Wednesday. RHP Osvaldo Bido turned in a strong start, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits while walking just 1 and notching 7 strikeouts to earn the victory in his debut for Las Vegas. RHP Billy Sullivan tossed a scoreless frame in the bottom of the 9th to secure his 1st save of the season for the Aviators. First baseman Tyler Soderstrom, catcher Carlos Perez and designated hitter Drew Lugbauer all homered, while third baseman Brett Harris singled, doubled, drew a walk and drove in a pair to help lead Las Vegas to victory. Meanwhile, center fielder Esteury Ruiz went 0 for 4 with a walk and a pair of strikeouts in his first game with the Aviators since being optioned by Oakland. LHP Jack O’Loughlin is set to make the start for the Aviators on Thursday.
