RHP Joey Estes turned in his third straight strong start and right fielder Greg Deichmann slugged a grand slam on his birthday to help the RockHounds record the win and snap their three-game losing streak on Wednesday. Estes, who was acquired from Atlanta in the Matt Olson deal, allowed just 1 run on 6 hits while walking none and striking out 7 over 5 frames to register the win. And the 21-year-old has now allowed just 2 runs and struck out 17 in 17 innings over his last 3 starts for Midland. With the RockHounds up 3-0 in the top of the 5th inning, Deichmann came to the plate with the bases loaded and no outs and slugged a grand slam over the right field fence. Second baseman Jeremy Eierman then stepped to the plate and followed with a solo shot to right-center. Eierman also drew 3 walks in the game, while third baseman Brett Harris doubled, tripled and scored a run, and catcher Shane McGuire singled, tripled and drove in a run for the RockHounds.
