Lansing snapped its three-game losing streak on Sunday to secure a split of its six-game series with Dayton. Last year’s 5th-round draft pick for the A’s, RHP Stevie Emanuels, turned in an outstanding start, allowing just 2 hits and striking out 4 while tossing 5 shutout frames to earn the win for the Lugnuts. The 22-year-old threw 44 strikes and 22 balls on the day and has now given up just 4 hits and 1 run in 9 1/3 innings over his first pair of appearances this season. LHP Dalton Sawyer and RHP Aiden McIntyre combined to throw 3 scoreless innings in relief, and RHP Jack Weisenburger picked up his 2nd save despite surrendering Dayton’s sole run in the bottom of the 9th. Second baseman Ryan Gridley singled twice, doubled and drove in a run, while right fielder Jake Suddleson doubled and drew a walk, and designated hitter Austin Beck drew a walk and doubled in the first run for Lansing on Sunday.

Las Vegas snapped its three-game losing streak on Sunday. RHP Brian Howard turned in a strong start, allowing just 1 run on 3 hits while striking out 6 over 6 innings of work for the Aviators. RHP Tanner Anderson tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief to earn the win, and RHP Cam Bedrosian struck out the side in the bottom of the 9th to secure the save for Las Vegas. Shortstop Pete Kozma singled twice, stole a base and drove in a run, while right fielder Greg Deichmann drew 3 walks, stole a base and scored a run, and first baseman Frank Schwindel and center fielder Luis Barrera each doubled and drew a walk for the Aviators.

The RockHounds lost their second straight to San Antonio on Sunday. Starter Brady Feigl was charged with 5 runs, 4 earned, over 5 frames to suffer the loss for Midland. Second baseman Nick Allen collected 3 hits and a walk and also scored a run, and the 22-year-old has now gone 14 for 22 with 5 walks over his last 6 games for the RockHounds. Shortstop Logan Davidson singled, doubled and drove in a run, and designated hitter JJ Schwarz had a pair of hits for the Hounds in the loss.

Stockton suffered its third straight loss to San Jose on Sunday. 21-year-old Cuban RHP Pedro Santos had his second straight rough start, allowing 6 runs in just 2 1/3 innings of work to take the loss for the Ports. Meanwhile, 18-year-old Colombian left fielder Brayan Buelvas singled, doubled and slugged his 2nd home run of the season for Stockton in the loss.
