On a day in which all four of the A’s affiliates managed to score a total of just four runs between them, there were more notable pitching performances that hitting performances on Saturday. And Lansing’s Colin Peluse turned in one of the more impressive pitching performances of the day. 2019’s 9th-round draft pick for the A’s allowed just 2 hits and 1 run while striking out 7 over 5 frames, and he left the game with a one-run lead. The 22-year-old has now given up just 3 hits and 1 run while striking out 10 in 8 innings over his first pair of appearances for the Lugnuts. RHP Seth Shuman, the A’s 6th-round pick in 2019, made the start and pitched 2 perfect innings before giving way to Peluse. RHP Michael Danielak gave up a two-run homer in the bottom of the 8th to suffer the loss as Lansing dropped its third straight to Dayton on Saturday. Second baseman Cobie Vance singled doubled and drove in the Lugnuts’ only two runs in the loss, while right fielder Jake Suddleson singled, doubled and drew a walk, and catcher Will Simoneit collected a pair of hits, including a double, for Lansing.

The Aviators were shut out on just 4 hits as Las Vegas lost its third straight on Saturday. RHP Paul Blackburn turned in a solid start, allowing 3 runs, 2 earned, while striking out 7 over 6 innings of work, but he still ended up suffering the loss on Saturday. Center fielder Skye Bolt and designated hitter Greg Deichmann each singled and walked for Las Vegas in the loss.

San Antonio snapped the RockHounds’ four-game winning streak on Saturday. RHP Zac Reininger had a rough start, giving up 6 runs on 10 hits over 5 frames to suffer the loss. Left fielder Mickey McDonald singled, doubled and drew a walk, while first baseman Jonah Bride singled and walked twice, and center fielder Marty Bechina had a pair of hits for the Hounds in the loss.

Stockton was shut out on 5 hits to suffer its second straight loss to San Jose on Saturday. 2019’s 34th-round draft pick for the A’s, LHP Kumar Nambiar, made the start and allowed 1 unearned run on just 2 hits over 4 frames, but he still ended up taking the loss on Saturday. Tandem starter Grant Judkins gave up 1 run and struck out 5 over 3 innings for Stockton, and designated hitter Lazaro Armenteros had a pair of hits for the Ports in the loss.
