It might have taken 12 innings, but the AZL A’s Green squad walked away with the win on Sunday. 17-year-old Colombian center fielder Brayan Buelvas had another good game for the A’s. He slugged a two-run homer in the 1st inning to give his team an early lead. Buelvas later drew a walk and stole a base in the 11th, and the teenager now leads the squad with 3 home runs, 22 RBIs and 19 walks and is second on the team with 8 stolen bases. 18-year-old Dominican right fielder Jose Bonilla singled, doubled and drove in the tying run in the bottom of the 10th, while this year’s 27th-round draft pick, first baseman Gavin Jones, slugged a solo shot in the 2nd inning and scored the winning run on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 12th as the A’s won in a walk-off. This year’s 34th-round pick, LHP Kumar Nambiar, turned in a solid start, allowing just 1 hit and striking out 7 over 4 scoreless frames, while 21-year-old Dominican RHP Manuel Manzanillo struck out the side in order in the top of the 12th to earn the win on Sunday.

Las Vegas lost in extra innings on Sunday. Starter Tanner Anderson gave up 3 runs over 5 2/3 frames and left with the game a 3-3 tie. RHP Kyle Finnegan allowed an unearned run in the bottom of the 10th to take the loss as Omaha won in a walk-off. First baseman Eric Campbell hit a two-run homer, while right fielder Mark Payton had a pair of hits, including a double. Second baseman Corban Joseph singled twice and scored a run, and catcher Josh Phegley went 0 for 3 with a walk in his first rehab game with Las Vegas.

The RockHounds had their three-game winning streak snapped on Sunday. Starter James Naile allowed 4 runs over 6 innings of work to suffer his 7th loss for Midland. Catcher Collin Theroux doubled and drove in a run, while designated hitter Dan Gamache singled and drew a pair of walks, and second baseman Nate Mondou singled, walked and scored a run for the RockHounds in the loss.

Stockton suffered its fourth loss in its last five games on Sunday. Starter Xavier Altamirano was charged with 7 runs in just 2 innings of work to take the loss, while RHP Bryce Conley tossed 1 scoreless inning of relief in his return from the injured list on Sunday. First baseman Alfonso Rivas tripled, walked and scored Stockton’s sole run in the loss, while left fielder Lazaro Armenteros picked up a pair of hits, including a double, for the Ports.

Starter Aiden McIntyre was charged with 2 unearned runs in 2 2/3 innings of work, while LHP Josh Reagan gave up 1 run in 2 1/3 innings of relief to take the loss. Left fielder Lester Madden slugged a two-run homer in the 2nd inning to account for all the Snappers’ scoring in the loss.

The Lake Monsters were shut out on five hits on Sunday. 23-year-old Cuban LHP Yorlenis Noa made the start and gave up 6 runs. 5 earned, in just 2 innings of work to suffer the loss, while 21-year-old Panamanian RHP Carlos Sanchez was solid in relief, throwing 4 scoreless and hitless frames for Vermont. This year’s top draft pick for the A’s, shortstop Logan Davidson, had a pair of hits and swiped his team-leading 5th stolen base and is now batting .361 over his last 9 games for the Lake Monsters.
