The Aviators put double digits on the board for the second night in a row to notch their second straight victory on Tuesday. Second baseman Franklin Barreto had another big night at the plate, hitting a two-run homer in the top of the 1st inning to give his team an early lead, while singling, tripling and scoring 3 times on the night. Center fielder Dustin Fowler tripled twice, scored twice and walked, while right fielder Seth Brown belted a two-run homer and doubled in a pair of runs. Third baseman Sheldon Neuse singled twice, walked twice and scored twice, and designated hitter Corban Joseph clubbed a two-run homer for the Aviators. Starter Paul Blackburn gave up 4 runs over 6 frames but still ended up securing his 7th victory for Vegas.

RHP Xavier Altamirano turned in a solid start for Stockton, allowing 3 runs, just 2 earned, while striking out 6 over 6 innings of work, but LHP Pat Krall gave up the go-ahead run in the top of the 8th to suffer the loss for Stockton. Catcher Robert Mullen singled and homered, while first baseman Alfonso Rivas doubled in a pair of runs for the Ports.

RHP Rafael Kelly turned in a strong start, allowing just 1 run over 5 frames, but 21-year-old Cuban RHP Richard Guasch gave up 4 runs in 2 innings of relief to take the loss. Left fielder Devin Foyle tagged a two-run homer, while designated hitter Logan Farrar singled twice for the Snappers in the loss.

The Lake Monsters lost for the fifth time in their last six games on Tuesday. 20-year-old Venezuelan RHP Angello Infante allowed 3 runs over 4 frames to suffer his 2nd loss for the Lake Monsters. This year’s 4th-round draft pick for the A’s, designated hitter Kyle McCann, hit a two-run homer and drew a pair of walks in his Vermont debut, while second baseman Nick Ward singled, walked and scored a run, and 18-year-old Colombian third baseman Jordan Diaz doubled in a run for the Lake Monsters in the loss.

This year’s 32nd-round pick, third baseman Marty Bechina, singled, doubled, drew a walk and drove in a pair, and 26th-round shortstop Elvis Peralta walked and homered for the A’s.
