The Aviators put double digits on the board for the third time in the past week to claim victory over the Missions on Monday. Right fielder Skye Bolt led the attack, collecting a three-run homer and a pair of doubles to raise his slugging percentage for the Aviators to a team-best figure of .612. Designated hitter Nick Martini had 3 hits, including a three-run homer and an RBI double, while first baseman Seth Brown tripled and tagged a two-run homer. Shortstop Jorge Mateo had 4 hits and drove in a run, while second baseman Franklin Barreto belted a two-run blast, and third baseman Sheldon Neuse and center fielder Dustin Fowler both slugged solo shots. Starter Daniel Mengden allowed 2 runs over 6 innings of work to earn the win, while RHP Norge Ruiz picked up the save despite giving up 5 runs in 3 innings of relief for the Aviators. Meanwhile, Las Vegas RHP Tanner Anderson was added to the A’s roster on Monday, while RHP Ryan Dull was returned to the Aviators and RHP Seth Martinez was sent back to Stockton.

After undergoing knee surgery prior to the season, RHP Gus Varland made his season debut for Stockton on Monday and turned in a solid start. The 22-year-old righty allowed just 1 run and struck out 6 over 5 1/3 frames in his first California League start, but RHP Sam Sheehan gave up 3 runs, 2 earned, in the top of the 11th inning to suffer the loss for Stockton. Third baseman Trace Loehr singled twice, doubled and drove in a run, while second baseman Nick Allen and designated hitter Hunter Hargrove had a pair of hits apiece for the Ports.

RHP Aiden McIntyre turned in a strong start on Monday, striking out 6 over 5 scoreless frames, to earn his 2nd win for the Snappers. RHP Eric Marinez got the final two outs to notch his 9th save. First baseman JJ Schwarz had a pair of hits, while left fielder Devin Foyle and third baseman Cobie Vance both doubled, and second baseman Joseph Pena singled in a pair of runs for the Snappers.
