Franklin Barreto had a big day at the plate on Sunday to lead Las Vegas to victory in the rubber game of its five-game series with Sacramento. The shortstop collected 4 hits, including an RBI double to drive in the go-ahead run in the 6th inning and a two-run homer in the 8th to provide what would prove to be the margin of victory for Las Vegas. Barreto has gone 12 for 25 with 7 RBIs over his last 6 games, and his 14 doubles now tie him for the team lead. Second baseman Jorge Mateo singled, doubled and scored a run, while left fielder Nick Martini drew a pair of walks and singled in a run for the Las Vegas. Starter Paul Blackburn allowed 4 runs over 5 frames to earn his team-leading 6th win, while RHP Brian Schlitter tossed a scoreless 9th to notch his 9th save for the Aviators.

The RockHounds suffered their second straight loss to Amarillo on Sunday. Starter Grant Holmes was charged with 2 unearned runs while striking out 3 over 3 innings of work. His tandem-pitching partner, RHP Daulton Jefferies, threw 3 scoreless frames, while RHP Jesus Zambrano tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief, but RHP John Gorman allowed 2 runs, 1 earned, in the top of the 9th to take the loss. Center fielder Luis Barrera had a pair of hits, drove in a run and stole a base, while left fielder Chase Calabuig singled, doubled and scored a run for the RockHounds.

Stockton battled back to win its fourth straight on Sunday. Left fielder Lazaro Armenteros collected 3 hits, including an RBI double in the 8th that brought the Ports back within a run. Armenteros also notched his 6th stolen base in the game. Third baseman Jonah Bride belted a two-run homer in the 2nd inning, while first baseman Hunter Hargrove singled twice and drove in a run, and shortstop Nick Allen singled in the winning run in the top of the 9th for Stockton. Starter Rafael Kelly gave up 5 runs over 4 1/3 frames, while RHP Nick Highberger tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief to pick up the win for the Ports.

The Snappers snapped their three-game skid on Sunday. First baseman JJ Schwarz singled and homered, while second baseman Joseph Pena singled twice, drew a walk and drove in a run, and center fielder Lester Madden singled in a pair of runs and stole a base for Beloit. Starter Bryce Conley allowed 1 run over 4 frames, while RHP Michael Danielak tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief to earn his 2nd win for the Snappers.
