Shortstop Jorge Mateo led the Aviators to a walk-off win on Wednesday as the team took its second straight from Salt Lake. Mateo tagged a two-run homer in the 1st inning to give Las Vegas an early lead, then he tripled and scored a run in the 6th and, with the game tied in the bottom of the 9th, Mateo stepped to the plate and singled in the winning run for the Aviators. Designated hitter Seth Brown belted a two-run blast to notch hit his team-leading 10th home run, while catcher Beau Taylor singled twice, scored twice and drew a walk. Center fielder Dustin Fowler had a pair of hits and drove in 2 runs, including the tying run in the 9th, and left fielder Nick Martini went 1 for 3 and drove in a run in his first rehab game with the Aviators. RHP Edwin Jackson had a rough start, surrendering 7 runs over 5 frames, but LHP Wei-Chung Wang pitched a perfect 8th, and RHP Brian Schlitter got the final three outs in the 9th to notch the victory for Vegas.

Stockton suffered its second straight one-run loss to Lancaster on Wednesday. RHP Brady Feigl turned in a solid start, allowing 2 runs and striking out 6 over 6 innings of work, but RHP Jesus Zambrano surrendered 2 runs in the bottom of the 8th to suffer the loss for Stockton. Center fielder Austin Beck belted his 5th home run of the season, while shortstop Nick Allen had a pair of hits, including a triple, for the Ports in the loss.
