The Ports prevailed to win their fifth straight on Tuesday. And 19-year-old Cuban left fielder Lazaro Armenteros had another productive night at the plate for the Ports. He hit his team-leading 5th home run, a two-run shot in the 3rd inning, and also walked and snatched his 4th stolen base on Tuesday. Armenteros currently leads the team in both home runs and walks while also boasting a team-best slugging percentage of .481. Second baseman Jeremy Eierman had a pair of hits, including a double, drew a walk and scored a run, while shortstop Nick Allen singled, doubled, stole a base and drove in a pair and is now riding a 13-game hitting streak. RHPs Kyle Friedrichs and Jake Bray both joined Stockton from extended spring training on Tuesday and both appeared in the game for the Ports. Friedrichs made the start and was solid, throwing 4 scoreless frames, while Bray allowed 1 run in 2 2/3 innings of relief to pick up the win. Meanwhile, Stockton RHP Daulton Jefferies, who put up an ERA of 2.40 in his first 5 appearances for the Ports, was reassigned to the RockHounds.

Las Vegas suffered its sixth loss in its last seven games on Tuesday. Starter Tyler Alexander allowed 4 runs over 6 innings of work to take the loss. Jorge Mateo, making his fourth start of the season at second base, singled, tripled, drew a walk and drove in a run, while first baseman Seth Brown collected 3 hits, including a triple. Shortstop Franklin Barreto tripled and scored a run, and center fielder Dustin Fowler drew a walk and doubled in a run for the Aviators.
