A few years ago, we produced a video tribute to the division-winning 2013 Oakland A’s – a team that featured such memorable players as Coco Crisp, Brandon Moss, Josh Reddick and Josh Donaldson. And this year, we’ve followed up with a swingin’ video tribute to the 2018 Oakland A’s, featuring highlights from the team’s thrilling wild-card season.
Both videos feature a truly catchy little ditty by The Baseball Project called “They Are The Oakland A’s.” The baseball-loving band features members of R.E.M., the Dream Syndicate and The Minus 5, and the song was written and sung by founding member of The Baseball Project, and big-time A’s fan, Scott McCaughey.
Our favorite line has to be, “Young and hungry, small payroll, but Billy Beane loves rock & roll.” And we can confirm that Billy does approve. As he told us: “This is so cool!” You’ll love this song and this video tribute to the 2018 A’s. So, be sure to check it out and get yourself in the green and gold groove to start the season off right!
