The RockHounds had a combined no-hitter broken up in the 9th inning but hung on to claim their second straight win over Corpus Christi on Friday. Starter Parker Dunshee threw 7 1/3 hitless and scoreless innings while striking out 7 and walking just 2, and Dunshee has now compiled an ERA of 0.96 over his last 4 starts for the RockHounds. RHP Kyle Finnegan got the final two outs in the 8th to take the no-hitter into the 9th. But Finnegan then allowed 3 hits and 1 run before exiting with two outs in the 9th. RHP John Gorman came on to notch the final out in the 9th and record his 1st save for the RockHounds. Left fielder Tyler Ramirez hit a two-run homer, and center fielder Skye Bolt doubled and slugged a solo shot to provide all the runs the RockHounds would need on Friday.

LHP Jesus Luzardo suffered through his shakiest start of the season for the Sounds, allowing 8 runs in just 3 innings of work to take his first Triple-A loss as Nashville fell for the third time in its last four games on Friday. Designated hitter Anthony Garcia hit his team-leading 21st home run, while catcher Beau Taylor struck out in his first 3 at-bats but then slugged a solo shot in the 9th for Nashville.

Stockton suffered an 11-inning loss on Friday. Right fielder Brett Siddall slugged a three-run homer to headline Stockton’s 5-run 1st inning, while second baseman Trace Loehr and designated hitter Sandber Pimentel had a pair of hits apiece for the Ports in the game. Starter Wyatt Marks gave up 4 runs over 5 2/3 frames, while RHP Sam Sheehan surrendered 2 runs, including the tying run, in the 7th inning for Stockton. RHP Angel Duno then allowed the winning run to score with no outs in the bottom of the 11th to take the loss as Visalia won in a walk-off on Friday.

The Snappers were shut out on just four hits in Peoria on Friday in the completion of a suspended game that originally began in Beloit last month. Original starter Jean Ruiz allowed 5 runs, 4 earned, in just 2 innings of work to take the loss. LHP Jhenderson Hurtado took over on Friday and gave up another 5 runs in 3 2/3 innings of relief. Right fielder Jack Meggs had 2 hits, including a double, and also moved to the mound to toss a scoreless 9th for the Snappers.

The AZL A’s won their second straight on Friday. Last year’s 20th-round draft pick for the A’s, 18-year-old Puerto Rican RHP Osvaldo Berrios, turned in his third straight scoreless start, throwing 5 shutout frames to earn his 3rd win for the A’s. 18-year-old Dominican center fielder Kevin Richards had 3 hits, including a triple, and drove in a run, while 18-year-old Venezuelan second baseman Alexander Campos tripled in a run for the A’s on Friday.
