RHP Parker Dunshee turned in his third straight quality start to help the RockHounds record their third win in their last four games on Sunday. Dunshee struck out 5 while throwing 6 scoreless frames to earn his 4th win, and the 23-year-old has now allowed just 2 runs in 19 innings over his last 3 starts for the RockHounds. Right fielder Seth Brown had a big day at the plate, collecting 3 doubles and a walk and driving in 4 runs, while center fielder Skye Bolt singled, walked twice, stole a base and homered in his third straight game, slugging a three-run shot in the 8th. Meanwhile, Midland’s top starter, LHP Jesus Luzardo, was officially reassigned to the Sounds, and Snappers outfielder Mickey McDonald was sent to the Hounds on Sunday.

RHP Daniel Mengden delivered a strong start to help the Sounds win their seventh straight on Sunday. Mengden allowed 2 runs and struck out 8 over 6 2/3 innings to earn the win, while RHP Carlos Ramirez got the final seven outs for the Sounds to secure the save. Second baseman J.P. Sportman singled twice, doubled, drove in a run and scored twice, while third baseman Sheldon Neuse had 3 hits and drove in a pair of runs. Designated hitter Anthony Garcia singled twice, doubled and drew a walk, and catcher Beau Taylor doubled in a pair for the Sounds. Meanwhile, LHP Jesus Luzardo is set to make his Triple-A debut for the Sounds on Monday.

Beloit battled back to win its third straight on Sunday. Designated hitter Jack Meggs singled, doubled twice and drove in 2 runs, including the go-ahead run in the Snappers’ seven-run 8th, while right fielder Logan Farrar had 3 hits, including a double, and drove in a pair, and left fielder Lazaro Armenteros homered and was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to bring home a run for Beloit. Starter Mitchell Jordan allowed 3 runs over 5 frames, while RHP Heath Bowers picked up the win despite giving up 3 runs in 2 innings of relief, and RHP Jesus Zambrano got the final two outs in the 9th to notch his 5th save for the Snappers. Meanwhile, outfielder Mickey McDonald was reassigned from the Snappers to the RockHounds on Sunday.

Vermont shut out Lowell on seven hits to notch its fourth straight victory on Sunday. This year’s 9th-round draft pick for the A’s, RHP Chase Cohen, made the start and gave up 3 hits over 3 shutout innings, while 20-year-old Venezuelan RHP Oscar Tovar allowed 2 hits while throwing 3 scoreless frames to earn his 3rd victory for Vermont. 24-year-old Dominican RHP Jeferson Mejia tossed 1 scoreless inning in relief, and last year’s 31st-round pick, RHP Brandon Withers, got the final six outs for the Lake Monsters to complete the shutout. This year’s 4th-round pick, first baseman Alfonso Rivas, doubled twice, walked twice and scored a run, while 33rd-round pick, left fielder Joseph Pena, singled twice, walked, stole a base and drove in a run for Vermont. Meanwhile, RHPs Caleb Evans and Reid Birlingmair were both added to the Lake Monsters roster on Sunday.

The AZL A’s won their fourth straight on Sunday. This year’s 6th-round draft pick for the A’s, 18-year-old left fielder Lawrence Butler, doubled twice, drew a walk, scored twice and drove in a run, while this year’s 34th-round pick, shortstop Nick Ward, had 2 hits, drew a walk and drove in 2 runs. 18-year-old Dominican center fielder Kevin Richards singled, walked twice and swiped a pair of bases, and 19-year-old Dominican second baseman Christopher Quintin doubled in a pair of runs for the A’s. This year’s 22nd-round pick, RHP Aiden McIntyre, made ths start and allowed 3 runs in 3 innings of work, while 26th-round pick, RHP Leudeny Pineda, tossed 2 1/3 scoreless innings in relief to pick up his first pro win, and 29th-round LHP Austin Briggs got the final five outs for the A’s to post his 2nd save.
