Stockton lost the rubber match of its three-game series with Lancaster on Friday, but first baseman Sandber Pimentel had another big night for the Ports. The 23-year-old doubled and drilled a two-run homer for Stockton in Friday’s match. The hot-hitting Pimentel is now 7 for 16 with 5 home runs and 10 RBIs over his last 4 games, and his 14 home runs on the season are a team-best. Third baseman Brallan Perez had 3 hits, including a double, while left fielder Luke Persico popped his 4th home run for the Ports. Starter Xavier Altamirano allowed 4 runs over 5 frames to suffer his 2nd loss for Stockton. Meanwhile, Ports infielder Jesus Lage was reassigned to the Snappers on Friday.

The Sounds fell to Oklahoma City in extra innings on Friday. Designated hitter Beau Taylor had 3 hits and drove in 2 runs, including the tying run in the bottom of the 9th to send the game to extra innings. Shortstop Jorge Mateo tripled, walked and scored a run, while center fielder Ramon Laureano singled twice, walked, drove in a run and stole a pair of bases for the Sounds. Starter Eric Jokisch gave up 3 runs over 7 2/3 innings of work, while RHP Carlos Ramirez allowed the winning run in the top of the 10th to take the loss.

The RockHounds suffered their sixth loss in their last eight games on Friday. Starter Norge Ruiz allowed 4 runs over 6 frames to take the loss for Midland. Right fielder Tyler Marincov singled twice, walked and drove in the RockHounds’ only run, while left fielder Tyler Ramirez had 2 hits, including a double, and shortstop Richie Martin doubled and scored a run for the RockHounds in the loss.

The Snappers won in extra innings to notch their fifth victory in their last six games on Friday. Shortstop Nick Allen tripled and scored a run in the 1st inning and then singled in the winning run with two outs in the bottom of the 10th as Beloit won in a walk-off. Left fielder Jack Meggs doubled in the tying run in the 7th, and first baseman Hunter Hargrove and catcher Jordan Devencenzi had a pair of hits apiece for the Snappers. Starter Mitchell Jordan allowed 3 runs, just 1 earned, over 5 frames, while RHP Jesus Zambrano threw 3 scoreless innings in relief, and RHP Nick Highberger tossed 2 scoreless frames to pick up his 5th win for the Snappers.

The Lake Monsters lost in extra innings on Friday. This year’s third overall draft pick for the A’s, shortstop Jeremy Eierman, slugged a three-run homer in the 6th inning to provide all the scoring for Vermont. Last year’s 29th-round pick, RHP Adam Reuss, made the start and gave up 3 runs over 5 frames, while this year’s 5th-round pick, RHP Brady Feigl, threw 3 scoreless innings in relief, but last year’s 31st-round pick, RHP Brandon Withers, allowed the winning run in the bottom of the 10th as the Lake Monsters lost in a walk-off on Friday.

This year’s 18th-round pick, second baseman Cobie Vance, had 2 hits, including a triple, walked, stole a base and drove in 2 runs, while 17-year-old Colombian third baseman Jordan Diaz singled, tripled and drove in a run for the A’s in the loss.
