The Snappers won on Wednesday to even their five-game series with Wisconsin 2-2 heading into Thursday’s finale. Starter Ivan Andueza had his best outing of the season, giving up 1 run over 5 innings of work and leaving with the game a 1-1 tie. RHP Mitchell Jordan was even better in relief, allowing just 2 hits and striking out 4 while throwing 4 scoreless frames to earn his 1st win for Beloit. First baseman Hunter Hargrove singled, doubled, walked and scored twice, while catcher Jordan Devencenzi and third baseman Jesus Lopez each had a pair of hits, including a double, and drove in a run, and designated hitter Logan Farrar tripled in a pair of runs in the top of the 9th to provide the margin of victory for the Snappers.

The RockHounds went down to defeat for the fourth time in their last five games on Wednesday. RHP Kyle Friedrichs had his third straight rough start for the RockHounds, allowing 7 runs, 5 earned, on 10 hits over 3 1/3 innings to suffer his 3rd loss for Midland. Third baseman J.P.Sportman singled, doubled, drove in 2 runs and swiped a pair of bases, while shortstop Eli White had 2 hits, including a double, and stole a base, and left fielder Tyler Ramirez singled twice and drove in a run for the RockHounds.

Designated hitter Melvin Mercedes accounted for all of Stockton’s scoring in their loss to Rancho Cucamonga on Wednesday. Mercedes singled in a run in the 5th inning and then slugged a two-run homer in the 7th, but that was all the runs the Ports would plate. Starter Zack Erwin allowed 2 runs over 5 innings of work to suffer his 3rd loss for Stockton.
