Then, with the game still tied in the bottom of the 9th, Boyd singled and eventually advanced to third, where he was able to sprint home on a wild pitch to score the winning run as the Sounds won in a walk-off for the second straight game on Monday. Right fielder Nick Martini doubled, walked and scored a run, while catcher Josh Phegley went 1 for 3 and doubled in a run in his fourth rehab game with the Sounds. Starter Frankie Montas permitted 2 runs, 1 earned, over 3 innings of work, while RHP Chris Bassitt allowed 2 runs, 1 earned, in 5 innings of relief, and RHP Bobby Wahl tossed a scoreless top of the 9th to notch the win for Nashville. And with Chad Pinder being reinstated from the disabled list by Oakland on Monday, infielder Franklin Barreto was sent back to the Sounds.
