RHP Casey Meisner turned in one of his best starts for the RockHounds since joining the team late last month. The 22-year-old allowed 2 runs over 6 innings of work to earn his 2nd win for Midland and help the Hounds secure their sixth straight win on Wednesday. Right fielder J.P. Sportman, who left Tuesday’s game after being hit in the hand with a pitch, had a big night at the plate, collecting 3 hits, including a home run, while driving in a pair. Catcher Sean Murphy and left fielder Tyler Ramirez both homered, while third baseman Jordan Tarsovich had 3 hits, and first baseman Viosergy Rosa doubled, walked and drove in 3 runs for the RockHounds.

Starter Jesse Hahn allowed 2 runs over 5 innings of work to earn his 1st win for the Sounds, while rehabbing RHP Chris Bassitt tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief, and RHP Kyle Finnegan got the final out in the top of the 9th to notch his 2nd save for Nashville. Second baseman Joey Wendle singled, doubled and scored twice, while third baseman Yairo Munoz had 2 hits and drove in a pair, and catcher Beau Taylor singled twice, walked and drove in a run for the Sounds.

Starter Dalton Sawyer delivered a solid start for Stockton, allowing 2 runs over 5 innings of work, but he still ended up suffering the loss on Wednesday. First baseman Mikey White walked and hit his 12th home run, while shortstop Eli White walked and singled in a run, and left fielder Brett Siddall had a pair of hits for the Ports.

The Snappers had their four-game winning streak snapped by Kane County on Wednesday. RHP Matt Milburn allowed 3 runs over 5 innings of work to suffer the loss. Right fielder Luke Persico had 3 hits and drove in a run, and second baseman Josh Vidales hit his 1st home run for the Snappers in the loss.

Starter Chris Kohler gave up 2 runs over 4 innings of work on Wednesday. And in his first outing in nearly two months, Beloit LHP Ty Damron allowed 1 run in 1 1/3 innings of relief to suffer the loss while making his first rehab appearance for the AZL A’s. This year’s 33rd-round draft pick for the A’s, third baseman Jake Lumley, singled, doubled and drove in a run, while 17-year-old Dominican second baseman Marcos Brito had a pair of hits in the loss.
