RHP Xavier Altamirano turned in his second straight quality start for the Snappers on Saturday. The 23-year-old allowed 3 runs, just 2 earned, while striking out 6 over 6 innings of work to earn his 6th win for the Snappers. RHP John Gorman tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief, and RHP Yordys Alejo got the final three outs in the 9th to notch his 3rd save. Center fielder Mike Martin collected 3 hits, including a double, stole a base and scored twice, while first baseman Kyle Nowlin had 2 hits and a walk and drove in a pair, and left fielder Luke Persico singled twice and drove in a run for the Snappers.

First baseman Sandber Pimentel slugged a 2-run homer with two outs in the bottom of the 9th to tie the game and send it to extra innings, but Stockton still ended up suffering its seventh loss in its last eight games on Saturday. Pimentel also singled twice, while second baseman Nate Mondou walked and tripled in a run, and third baseman Mikey White and left fielder Luis Barrera each had a pair of hits and drove in a run for the Ports. Starter Brandon Bailey allowed 5 runs over 3 1/3 innings of work, while RHP Kyle Friedrichs was outstanding in relief, striking out 6 over 4 2/3 scoreless and hitless frames. But RHP Sam Sheehan was charged with 5 runs, 4 earned, in 1 1/3 innings of relief to suffer his 3rd loss for Stockton.

Starter Bryce Conley gave up 1 run in 2 innings of work, while LHP Josh Reagan allowed 1 run in 3 innings of relief to earn his 1st victory for Vermont, and RHP Oscar Tovar tossed 4 scoreless frames to secure his 2nd save for the Lake Monsters on Saturday. First baseman Aaron Arruda belted a 2-run homer, while left fielder Anthony Churlin singled, tripled and drove in a run. Right fielder Greg Deichmann singled twice and drove in a pair, and second baseman Ryan Gridley and center fielder Logan Farrar had 3 hits apiece to help the Lake Monsters win their second straight on Saturday.

But RHP Josh Falk surrendered 4 runs in 1 inning of relief to suffer his 3rd loss for the A’s. Right fielder Jhonny Rodriguez ripped a 3-run homer, while designated hitter Lazaro Armenteros singled, doubled and drove in a run, and catcher Santis Sanchez and second baseman Marcos Brito had a pair of hits apiece in the loss.

Six pitchers appeared for the A’s in the makeup of Friday’s postponed game, but LHP Jhenderson Hurtado tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief to earn the win. Center fielder Austin Beck had a pair of hits, while third baseman Jake Lumley tripled, and shortstop Marcos Brito and first baseman Alonzo Medina both singled and drove in runs for the A’s.
