Yairo Munoz had a big game while making his eighth career start in center field for the Sounds on Tuesday. The 22-year-old collected 3 hits, including a home run, and is now 8 for 16 with a pair of home runs over his last 4 games for Nashville. Third baseman Renato Nunez doubled twice and singled, while right fielder Mark Canha had 2 hits, including a double, stole a base and drove in a pair, and designated hitter Chad Pinder went 1 for 5 with 3 strikeouts in his first rehab appearance for the Sounds. After turning in a pair of quality starts in his last two appearances for Nashville, RHP Ben Bracewell had a rough outing on Tuesday, allowing 10 runs, 8 earned, in just 2 2/3 innings of work to suffer the loss as the Sounds lost their third straight. In addition to Pinder, RHPs Kendall Graveman and Jharel Cotton have also joined Nashville on rehab assignments and both are expected to make appearances for the Sounds on Wednesday.

After turning in a pair of solid outings in his last two appearances for Midland, LHP A.J. Puk had a rocky start for the RockHounds on Tuesday. The 22-year-old allowed 5 runs in just 1 inning of work, while throwing 44 pitches, to suffer the loss. Right fielder J.P. Sportman had a pair of doubles, while center fielder B.J. Boyd singled twice, and left fielder Tyler Ramirez singled, walked and drove in a run for the RockHounds.

Shortstop Eli White and center fielder Luis Barrera both had big games as Stockton suffered its fifth straight loss on Tuesday. White collected 4 hits, including a double, stole 3 bases and scored 3 times, while Barrera singled twice and slugged a 3-run homer. Right fielder Seth Brown belted a 2-run blast, and left fielder Brett Siddall and designated hitter Sandber Pimentel drove in a pair of runs apiece for the Ports. 23-year-old Cuban RHP Norge Ruiz had a shaky start for Stockton, allowing 7 runs, 4 earned, in 3 innings of work. His fellow 23-year-old Cuban, RHP Miguel Romero, struggled in his first appearance for Stockton, giving up 5 runs in 2 innings of relief to suffer the loss on Tuesday.

18-year-old Panamanian RHP Abdiel Mendoza allowed 6 runs, 5 earned, over 4 2/3 frames to suffer his 2nd loss for the Lake Monsters on Tuesday. Last year’s 16th-round draft pick for the A’s, right fielder Anthony Churlin, collected 3 hits, including a pair of doubles, while this year’s 2nd-round pick, designated hitter Greg Deichmann, singled twice and drove in a run in the loss.
