RHP Casey Meisner turned in his best start of the season for Stockton on Sunday. The former 3rd-round draft pick for the Mets struck out 6 over 6 2/3 shutout innings to earn his 4th win, and the 22-year-old has now notched 21 strikeouts over his last 17 frames for Stockton. RHP Nolan Blackwood picked up his 7th save despite surrendering a pair of runs in 2 1/3 innings of relief for the Ports. First baseman Sandber Pimentel singled, doubled and drove in a run in his first appearance since returning from the disabled list, and left fielder James Harris walked and singled in a run for Stockton.

The Sounds suffered the loss in a 12-inning walk-off on Sunday. With the game tied in the top of the 12th, third baseman Matt Chapman, who’d walked twice and scored a run in the game, stepped to the plate and slugged his 16th home run to give his team the lead. But in the bottom of the 12th, RHP Simon Castro surrendered a 2-run single to suffer the loss as Memphis won in a walk-off. Left fielder Renato Nunez notched his 17th home run, a 2-run shot in the 7th, to tie him for the league lead, while catcher Ryan Lavarnway singled twice, doubled and drove in a pair, and right fielder Mark Canha had 2 hits and a walk and drove in a run for the Sounds RHP Michael Brady made the start and allowed 4 runs over 5 innings of work, while RHP Tucker Healy gave up 3 runs in 1 inning of relief, and RHP Jake Sanchez surrendered the tying run in the 9th for Nashville. In other news, Oakland optioned RHP Frankie Montas to the Sounds on Sunday, and it was announced that, as expected, Nashville RHP Daniel Gossett, will be promoted to make his major league debut for the A’s this week.

The RockHounds had their three-game winning streak snapped by last-place Frisco on Sunday. Starter Evan Manarino struggled, surrendering 6 runs, 5 earned, over 5 2/3 frames to suffer his 2nd loss for the Hounds, while RHP Kyle Friedrichs gave up another 5 runs in 2 1/3 innings of relief. Right fielder Tyler Marincov singled, doubled twice and drove in a pair, while third baseman Jermaine Curtis had 3 hits, including a double, and drove in a run, and shortstop Yairo Munoz singled and homered for the Hounds. Meanwhile, LHP Ivan Andueza was added to the RockHounds roster on Sunday.

The Snappers were shut out on just 2 hits to lose their fourth straight on Sunday. Starter Mitchell Jordan gave up 3 runs over 6 innings of work to suffer his 6th loss, while RHP Jesus Zambrano allowed just 1 hit, a 7th-inning home run, in 3 innings of relief. Center fielder Luis Barrera and first baseman Miguel Mercedes both singled for the Snappers in the loss.
