Shortstop Mikey White was the hitting star for Stockton on Tuesday, slugging 2 home runs, drawing a pair of walks and driving in 5 runs for the Ports. The A’s 2nd-round draft pick from 2015, who’s primarily been playing third base this season, has now hit 3 home runs in his last 2 games while also drawing 3 walks and driving in 6 runs. Third baseman Trent Gilbert also homered on Tuesday, while designated hitter Brett Siddall singled, doubled and scored the run, and catcher Iolana Akau had a pair of singles, drew a walk, drove in a run and stole a base for Stockton. Starter Logan Shore was charged with 2 unearned runs in the 1st inning, thanks to a fielding error by second baseman Branden Cogswell, and ended up allowing no earned runs while striking out 6 over 3 innings of work on Tuesday. RHP Angel Duno picked up the win despite surrendering 6 runs in 3 2/3 innings of relief, and RHP Carlos Navas pitched 2 1/3 perfect innings to post his 2nd save for the Ports.

After winning three straight, the RockHounds lost in 12 innings on Tuesday night. Starter James Naile gave up 2 runs over 4 frames, while his tandem-starting mate, RHP Grant Holmes, allowed 1 run in 2 1/3 innings of work. RHP Lou Trivino pitched 2 2/3 perfect innings in relief but, after getting seven outs in extra innings, LHP Cody Stull surrendered the game-winning home run with one out in the bottom of the 12th to take the loss as Corpus Christi won in a walk-off on Tuesday. Center fielder J.P. Sportman singled, walked and slugged a 2-run homer to tie the game in the top of the 6th, while right fielder B.J. Boyd singled in the RockHounds’ only other run in the loss.

The Snappers shut out Clinton on 7 hits to win their fourth straight on Tuesday. Starter Michael Murray tossed 4 scoreless 4 frames, while RHP Dakota Chalmers threw 3 shutout innings to pick up the win, and RHP Heath Bowers got the final six outs to earn the save for the Snappers. Beloit batters pushed 3 runs across the plate on just 5 hits on Tuesday. Center fielder JaVon Shelby and designated hitter Kyle Nowlin both walked with the bases loaded in the 6th to bring home a pair of runs for the Snappers.
