A’s Prospect AFL Highlights
(November 7 – November 12)
Monday, November 7th:
Shortstop Franklin Barreto went 2 for 4 with a double, while designated hitter Yairo Munoz went 0 for 3 in Mesa’s 4-3 loss on Monday.
Tuesday, November 8th:
Second baseman Max Schrock went 2 for 4 with a double and drove in 4 runs, while shortstop Franklin Barreto went 1 for 4 with a double and a walk and drove in a run, and third baseman Yairo Munoz went 1 for 4, stole a base and made 3 errors. Starter Dylan Covey gave up 5 runs in 3 2/3 innings but still earned the win, while RHP Frankie Montas threw 3 scoreless frames, and RHP Trey Cochran-Gill allowed 1 unearned run in 1 inning of relief as Mesa won 10-7 on Tuesday.
Wednesday, November 9th:
Third baseman Yairo Munoz went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and drove in a run, while second baseman Franklin Barreto went 1 for 4, stole a base and drove in a run, and RHP Sam Bragg allowed 2 runs in 1 1/3 innings of relief to take the loss as Mesa lost 5-4 on Wednesday.
Thursday, November 10th:
Designated hitter Max Schrock went 1 for 4 with a double to help Mesa win 6-5 on Thursday.
Friday, November 11th:
Shortstop Franklin Barreto went 2 for 5, while third baseman Yairo Munoz went 1 for 3 with a walk in Mesa’s 5-3 loss on Friday.
Saturday, November 12th:
RHP Trey Cochran-Gill pitched 1 1/3 perfect innings in relief as Mesa lost 4-2 on Saturday.
Sunday, November 13th:
No games scheduled.
