The RockHounds won their second straight game on Wednesday to go 2-0 in the best-of-five Texas League Championship Series and move within one game of clinching their third straight Texas League title. RHP Corey Walter turned in a solid start, throwing 5 shutout innings to earn the win on Wednesday. RHP Sam Bragg was charged with 3 runs, 2 earned, in just 1/3 of an inning in relief, while RHP Lou Trivino allowed 1 run over 1 1/3 innings. RHP Kyle Finnegan tossed 1 1/3 scoreless frames, and RHP Jake Sanchez struck out the side in the 9th to notch his 2nd save in the series. Shortstop Richie Martin drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in the 4th inning and then homered in the 6th. Center fielder Brett Vertigan collected 3 hits, while right fielder Tyler Marincov singled, doubled and scored a run. Designated hitter Andy Paz singled in a pair, and third baseman Yairo Munoz and left fielder J.P. Sportman had a pair of hits apiece and each drove in a run for the RockHounds.
