With the RockHounds down by 2 runs, RHP Corey Walter entered the game in the bottom of the 6th and tossed 4 shutout innings to give the Hounds the chance to come back and win their third straight on Thursday. Walter earned the win for Midland and now has a 2.40 ERA in 75 innings for the RockHounds this season. RHP Heath Fillmyer made the start and allowed 2 runs over 5 innings of work in his Double-A debut. First baseman Viosergy Rosa had the big hit in the 8th inning, a 2-run double to drive in the winning run. Second baseman Josh Rodriguez had a pair of hits, while catcher Beau Taylor and right fielder Tyler Marincov both singled in runs for the RockHounds. In addition to Fillmyer, RHP Lou Trivino was also reassigned to the RockHounds from Stockton, while Midland RHP Chris Jensen was sent to the Sounds on Thursday.

RHP Chris Jensen turned in a quality start in his return to the Sounds on Thursday, allowing 3 runs over 7 innings of work to earn his 1st Triple-A win for Nashville. First baseman Matt Olson belted a 2-run homer, while designated hitter Rangel Ravelo doubled twice and drove in 2 runs. Second baseman Joey Wendle tripled in a pair, and left fielder Tyler Ladendorf went 0 for 4 in his return to the Sounds. In addition to Jensen, RHP Raul Alcantara also joined the roster from the RockHounds and is set to make his first start for the Sounds on Friday. The A’s recalled RHP Zach Neal and optioned LHP Patrick Schuster back to Nashville on Thursday.

RHP Michael Murray was solid in his first start for Stockton, allowing just 2 unearned runs over 5 innings of work to earn the win in his California League debut on Thursday. Center fielder James Harris singled, doubled, tripled, stole a base and drove in a pair of runs, while second baseman Mikey White doubled, tripled, walked and drove in a run, and first baseman Sandber Pimentel, left fielder B.J. Boyd and third baseman Jose Brizuela all homered in the win. In addition to Murray, RHP James Naile was also promoted to the Ports, while RHPs Heath Fillmyer and Lou Trivino were reassigned to the RockHounds and LHP Zack Erwin was sent to the Snappers.

This year’s 11th-round draft pick for the A’s, shortstop Eli White, singled, walked twice, stole a base and scored a pair of runs, including the tying run in the 5th inning, while second baseman Nate Mondou and catcher Brett Sunde had a pair of hits apiece to help the Lake Monsters win on Thursday. Starter Dakota Chalmers allowed 3 runs over 5 innings of work, while RHP Jordan Schwartz tossed 2 1/3 scoreless innings in relief to earn the win, and LHP Will Gilbert got the final five outs to post his 1st save for Vermont. In roster news, RHPs Brendan Butler and Nolan Blackwood were both reassigned to Beloit, while this year’s 15th-round draft pick, LHP Ty Damron, was assigned to the Lake Monsters on Thursday.

This year’s 16th-round pick, 19-year-old right fielder Anthony Churlin, doubled and drew a pair of walks, while center fielder Cole Gruber singled in a pair of runs in the loss.
