With two men on and the game tied in the top of the 8th inning, right fielder Matt Olson ripped a 3-run homer to provide the margin of victory for Nashville on Friday. Olson also singled, doubled, walked and drove in a total of 4 runs in the game. Catcher Bruce Maxwell homered for the second straight night, while center fielder Jaycob Brugman collected 4 hits, including a double, and drove in a run, and left fielder Arismendy Alcantara doubled, singled twice, stole a base and drove in 3. Starter Jesse Hahn allowed 3 runs over 6 innings of work, and RHP Aaron Kurcz picked up the win despite giving up the tying run in the bottom of the 7th as the Sounds won their third straight. In roster news, infielder Ryon Healy was promoted to the A’s, while outfielder Billy Burns was optioned back to Nashville, and RHP Nick Tepesch was designated for assignment. Catcher Carson Blair was given his release and catcher Bryan Anderson rejoined the Sounds from the RockHounds on Friday. Healy went 0 for 4 while batting ninth and playing third base for the A’s in his major league debut on Friday.

With the game tied and a man on third in the top of the 7th inning on Friday, left fielder J.P. Sportman doubled home the winning run for the RockHounds. Sportman had 4 hits, stole a base and drove in a pair of runs in the game. Shortstop Franklin Barreto singled, doubled, stole a base and drove in 2, and second baseman Yairo Munoz, center fielder Brett Vertigan and designated hitter Viosergy Rosa had a pair of hits apiece for Midland. Starter Chris Jensen allowed 2 runs over 6 innings of work to earn his 6th win, while RHP Jake Sanchez tossed 2 scoreless innings in relief, and RHP Bobby Wahl got the final three outs in the 9th to notch his 5th save for the Hounds. And with catcher Bryan Anderson reassigned to the Sounds, catcher Andy Paz returned to the RockHounds roster on Friday.

He also drew a pair of walks in the game, while third baseman Melvin Mercedes singled, tripled, walked and drove in a pair for the Ports. Starter Heath Fillmyer allowed 2 runs over 5 innings of work, while RHP Lou Trivino picked up the win despite giving up a pair of runs in the top of the 9th for Stockton.

Designated hitter Skye Bolt singled, homered, walked and drove in a pair of runs to help the Snappers win on Friday. First baseman Jean Carlo Rodriguez singled and homered, while third baseman Edwin Diaz singled, doubled and drove in 3 runs for Beloit. Starter Michael Murray allowed 4 runs over 5 1/3 innings to pick up his 4th win for the Snappers.

Left fielder Robert Bennie collected 4 hits, including a double, and drove in 3 runs, while designated hitter Robert Martinez singled, doubled twice and drove in 3, and first baseman Chris Iriart had a pair of doubles and scored twice for the A’s. Starter Mitchell Jordan gave up 4 runs over 3 2/3 innings of work, while 20-year-old Dominican RHP Miguel Sanchez allowed 1 run in 3 1/3 innings of relief to earn the win in his Arizona League debut, and RHP Emerson Nelo tossed a scoreless 9th to post his 1st save for the A’s on Friday.
