PACIFIC COAST LEAGUE (Triple-A)
Nashville Sounds 8

WP – Overton 9-4 / 3.01
HR – Pinder (10), Healy (6), Maxwell (5)
Prospect Of The Game:
Designated Hitter Ryon Healy
(3 for 5 / Home Run / Double / 4 RBIs)
While he may be looking forward to appearing in next week’s All-Star Futures Game, Ryon Healy’s head clearly is still in the game at hand. And on Tuesday, he helped Nashville snap its five-game losing streak by contributing 3 hits, including a home run and a double, while driving in 4 runs for the Sounds. Healy’s home run and double on Tuesday now give him a total of 46 extra-base hits on the season, which is tops among all A’s minor leaguers. Shortstop Chad Pinder and catcher Bruce Maxwell also homered in the win, while Max Muncy, making his first start at second base in the A’s system, walked, doubled, singled twice and scored twice, and left fielder Colin Walsh walked and singled in a run in his first game since returning from the disabled list. Starter Dillon Overton was solid in his return to the Sounds, allowing 2 runs over 6 innings of work to notch his 9th win for Nashville.
