On a night when none of the A’s affiliates were able to notch a win, Stockton dropped its fourth straight despite second baseman Joe Bennie’s big night at the plate. Bennie belted a 2-run homer in the bottom of the 1st inning to give the Ports an early lead, then doubled and scored in the 8th and also walked in the game. Third baseman Jose Brizuela hit his 5th home run, a solo shot in the 7th, while shortstop Richie Martin had a pair of hits for the Ports. Starter Casey Meisner allowed 7 runs, 5 earned, on 9 hits, including 3 home runs, over 4 2/3 innings of work to suffer his 9th loss, while RHP R.J. Alvarez allowed a home run and struck out 2 in 1 inning of relief in his first rehab appearance for the Ports.

Right fielder Tyler Marincov and designated hitter J.P. In other news, outfielder Skye Bolt, first baseman Chris Iriart and LHP Andrew Tomasovich were all placed on the disabled list, while infielder Michael Soto, outfielder Mike Martin and RHPs Marc Berube and Dustin Hurlbutt were all added to the Snappers roster, and LHP Mike Fagan was released on Friday.
