With a man on and Beloit down by a run in the bottom of the 8th on Monday, first baseman Max Kuhn stepped to the plate and singled in the tying run for the Snappers. And the game remained tied until the bottom of the 10th, when Kuhn doubled, advanced to third base on a wild pitch, and then came in to score the winning run on catcher Argenis Raga’s RBI single as Beloit won in a walk-off on Monday. Starter Daniel Gossett was solid for the Snappers, allowing just 2 unearned runs over 7 innings of work, while LHP Cody Stull tossed 1 2/3 scoreless innings in relief, and RHP Koby Gauna got the final four outs to pick up his 3rd win for the Snappers.

RHP Zach Neal had a rocky start for the Sounds on Monday, allowing 5 runs over 7 innings of work to suffer his 9th loss for Nashville. Third baseman Brent Morel reached base 3 times, on a pair of singles and a walk, and drove in a run in the 8th inning, while right fielder Jason Pridie doubled, walked and scored a run, and center fielder Craig Gentry singled in the Sounds’ first run in the 2nd. With A’s RHP Kendall Graveman landing on the disabled list, infielder Max Muncy was recalled by Oakland, and LHP Jim Fuller was placed on the disabled list for the Sounds.

Starter Matt Stalcup had a shaky outing for Stockton, allowing 4 runs over 3 1/3 innings to take his 5th loss on Monday. Stockton scored just 1 run on 6 hits on Monday. Third baseman Melvin Mercedes singled and doubled, while center fielder Brett Vertigan doubled and came around to score Stockton’s only run on shortstop Yairo Munoz’s RBI single in the top of the 1st, and left fielder B.J. Boyd doubled but was left stranded in the 4th.

This year’s 10th-round draft pick for the A’s, designated hitter Steven Pallares, hit a 3-run homer in the top of the 9th for Vermont on Monday, while second baseman Trace Loehr launched a 2-run homer in the 5th, and outfielder Brett Siddall singled, doubled and drove in a run for the Lake Monsters. 7th-round RHP Kyle Friedrichs, had a rough start, allowing 5 runs over 2 2/3 innings to take his 3rd loss, while 9th-round LHP Jared Lyons surrendered 3 more runs in just 1 inning of relief, and 6th-round RHP Bowdien Derby gave up 1 run and struck out 5 over 3 innings for the Lake Monsters. Meanwhile, last year’s 19th-round draft pick for the A’s, catcher Tom Gavitt, was reassigned from the AZL A’s to Vermont.

19-year-old RHP Branden Kelliher struggled with his command once again and ended up allowing 3 runs on 2 hits, 3 walks and a wild pitch in just 2/3 of an inning to take his 5th loss for the A’s on Monday. First baseman Shane Conlon singled in a pair of runs in the top of the 9th and also walked and stole a base in the game, while catcher Andy Paz had a pair of hits and drove in a run, and designated hitter Miguel Guzman singled, doubled and scored a run in the loss.
