Designated hitter B.J. Boyd may have singled in the winning run in the bottom of the 14th for the Ports on Saturday, but it was third baseman Matt Chapman who was the hitting star for Stockton. Chapman collected 3 extra-base hits on the night, including 2 doubles to go along with his 17th home run, while driving in a pair for the Ports. Starter Matt Stalcup allowed 2 runs over 6 innings of work, while RHP Sam Roberts tossed a scoreless top of the 13th and 14th to post his 4th win for the Ports.

The Sounds’ sole PCL All-Star, outfielder Jason Pridie, helped lead Nashville to a walk-off win in 10 innings on Saturday. Pridie singled to lead off the bottom of the 10th and eventually came around to score the winning run when shortstop Niuman Romero was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. Pridie collected 4 hits in the game, including a pair of doubles, and also stole a base and drove in a run for the Sounds. Starter Cody Martin allowed 3 runs over 5 1/3 innings of work, while LHP Phil Coke tossed 1 2/3 scoreless innings in his Nashville debut, and RHP Aaron Kurcz, recently acquired from Atlanta, threw 3 shutout innings to earn his 1st win for the Sounds.

The RockHounds fought their way back from an 8-run deficit but still came up a run short on Saturday. Second baseman Colin Walsh collected 4 hits, including a pair of doubles, stole a base and scored 3 times, while first baseman Ryon Healy singled and tripled with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 9th to drive in 3 runs and bring the Hounds within a run. Shortstop Chad Pinder had 2 hits and drove in a pair in the 9th, and designated hitter Rangel Ravelo walked twice and tripled in a run in the 1st for Midland. Starter Jonathan Joseph had a rare rough outing for the RockHounds, allowing 10 runs, 9 earned, over 5 1/3 innings to take his 4th loss.

First baseman Sandber Pimentel doubled and drove in 3 runs, while third baseman Jose Brizuela had 3 hits, including a double, and shortstop Yairo Munoz singled, doubled and drove in a pair for the Snappers.

RHP Jon Massad had a strong start for the Lake Monsters on Saturday, allowing just 1 run while striking out 7 over 5 innings of work to earn his 2nd win, while RHP James Naile got the final four outs for his 3rd save. This year’s 2nd-round draft pick for the A’s, Mikey White – who’s been seeing a lot of time at third base of late – doubled with the base loaded in the top of the 3rd to drive in 3, while catcher Nick Collins collected a pair of hits and a walk for the Lake Monsters.

This year’s 3rd-round draft pick for the A’s, RHP Dakota Chalmers, walked 3 in 2 scoreless innings to start things off for the A’s on Saturday. 19-year-old Venezuelan RHP Argenis Blanco then followed with 5 shutout innings to earn his 4th win for the A’s. First baseman Shane Conlon collected 3 hits, including a double, and drove in 3 runs, while third baseman Miguel Mercedes tripled and drove in a pair for the A’s.
