With two on, two outs and the game tied in the top of the 9th, first baseman Max Kuhn doubled to drive in both runners and provide the Snappers with the margin of victory on Friday. Kuhn also tripled in 2 runs in the 2nd, while shortstop Yairo Munoz singled, doubled and drove in a pair, and outfielder Brett Vertigan doubled, walked twice, drove in a run and stole a base for Beloit. Starter Brett Graves had a rough outing, allowing 7 runs, 6 earned, on 8 hits over 3 1/3 innings of work, while RHP Carlos Navas tossed 1 2/3 scoreless innings in relief. LHP Jerad Grundy threw 2 shutout frames, and LHP Jose Torres gave up 1 run in 2 innings of work to pick up his 2nd win for the Snappers. In other news, RHP Rob Huber was placed on the temporarily inactive list and RHP Tyler Hollstegge was reassigned from Stockton to the Snappers.

RHP Kendall Graveman was a little shaky in his first start for the Sounds, allowing 5 runs, 3 earned, over 5 innings of work to take the loss on Friday. RHP Seth Frankoff, just promoted to Nashville from Midland, gave up 2 runs in 2 innings of relief in his first appearance for the Sounds. Shortstop Andy Parrino hit his 3rd home run to tie him with second baseman Joey Wendle for the team lead, while left fielder Jason Pridie singled and doubled in Nashville’s only other run of the game, and right fielder Kent Matthes and designated hitter Bryan Anderson had a pair of hits apiece for the Sounds. In addition to Frankoff, RHP Jarrod Parker and LHP Sean Nolin have both joined Nashville’s pitching staff on rehab assignments.

Outfielder Chad Oberacker had another big night at the plate for Midland, driving in a pair of runs while collecting 3 hits, including a double, to raise his average to an even .400. First baseman Matt Olson walked and doubled in the RockHounds’ first run of the game, while outfielder Josh Whitaker had a pair of hits, stole a base and scored a run in the loss. After starting the game off with 5 shutout innings, RHP Chris Jensen ended up being charged with 3 runs over 6 innings of work to take his 1st loss, while RHP Bobby Wahl gave up 5 runs in just 1 inning of relief for the RockHounds.

RHP Lou Trivino turned in another solid start for Stockton on Friday, allowing just 1 run while striking out 6 over 5 innings of work to earn his 2nd win, while RHP Brendan McCurry pitched 2 perfect innings, and RHPs Sam Roberts and Corey Walter each contributed 1 scoreless inning in relief. Outfielder Tyler Marincov singled and slugged his 2nd home run for Stockton, while first baseman John Nogowski doubled and drove in 2, and outfielder Justin Higley walked, stole his 3rd base and had a pair of hits for the Ports.
