TEXAS LEAGUE (Double-A)
Corpus Christi Hooks 10
Midland RockHounds 11
WP – T.Healy 1-0 / 0.00
Farmhand Of The Game:
Designated Hitter Ryon Healy
(3 for 4 / Double / 4 RBIs)
With the game tied and the bases loaded in the bottom on the 7th inning on Wednesday, designated hitter Ryon Healy doubled to clear the bases and give the RockHounds a 3-run margin, all of which they would need with the Hooks coming back to put 2 runs on the board in the top of the 9th. Healy also had 2 singles and drove in another run earlier in the game. Second baseman Colin Walsh collected a pair of singles and a double as well while driving in 2 runs. Outfielder Josh Whitaker tripled, doubled, walked and scored twice, while shortstop Chad Pinder had 2 hits and drove in a run, and third baseman Wade Kirkland singled and drove in a pair. Starter Jake Sanchez had a rough outing for the RockHounds, allowing 8 runs on 11 hits over 5 innings of work, while RHP Tucker Healy earned the win with 2 shutout innings in relief. RHP Seth Frankoff tossed a scoreless 8th, and RHP Bobby Wahl picked up his 3rd save despite giving up 2 runs in the 9th for the RockHounds. Meanwhile, Tuesday’s winning pitcher for Midland, RHP Joey Wagman, was reassigned to Stockton.

Bakersfield Blaze 2
LP – Bragg 0-2 / 8.64
HR – Rickles (1)
Farmhand Of The Game:
Pitcher Dillon Overton
(5 IP / 6 H / 1 ER / 1 BB / 2 K)
LHP Dillon Overton turned in a solid outing for Stockton, allowing just 1 run over 5 innings of work on Wednesday, while RHP Ben Bracewell tossed 1 scoreless inning in his first appearance for the Ports. RHPs Corey Walter and Sam Roberts each contributed 1 shutout inning in relief as well, but RHP Sam Bragg gave up the winning run in the 9th to take his 2nd loss. Catcher Nick Rickles hit his 1st home run to tie the game in the top of the 8th, while outfielder Justin Higley tripled but was left stranded in the 4th, and first baseman John Nogowski had a pair of hits for the Ports. In other news, A’s outfielder Coco Crisp is planning on taking batting practice with the Ports on Friday and Saturday before joining the team on a rehab assignment. And it also looks like two other rehabbing players, RHP A.J. Griffin and first baseman Nate Freiman, could potentially be joining Stockton sometime next week as well.

Farmhand Of The Game:
Designated Hitter Yairo Munoz
(Home Run / 3 RBIs)
With two on and two outs in the top of the 8th, designated hitter Yairo Munoz smacked a 3-run homer, which would prove crucial as Peoria would score 3 runs of their own in the bottom of the 8th to come within a run of the Snappers on Wednesday. Catcher Jose Chavez collected a pair of hits, while shortstop Edwin Diaz walked and doubled in 2 runs for Beloit. RHP Junior Mendez had his best start so far this season, allowing just 1 run over 6 innings to earn his 1st win, while RHP Corey Miller gave up 3 runs in 1 2/3 innings of relief, and LHP Jose Torres got the final four outs to post his 1st save for the Snappers.
