Second baseman Colin Walsh had another productive night at the plate for Midland on Tuesday, collecting 3 hits, including a pair of doubles, while driving in 3 runs for the RockHounds. Left fielder Chad Oberacker also continued his hot hitting, notching his 2nd home run of the season to go along with 2 singles and a pair of RBIs, while right fielder Jaycob Brugman also had 3 hits, including a triple, and drove in a run, and catcher Bruce Maxwell collected 3 singles and scored twice. Starter Chris Jensen had another solid outing, allowing 3 runs, just 1 earned, while striking out 7 over 6 innings to earn his 3rd straight win. RHPs Ryan Doolittle, Seth Frankoff and Tucker Healy each tossed 1 scoreless inning in relief, with Frankoff striking out the side in the 8th for the Hounds.

Second baseman Joey Wendle singled and hit his team-leading 3rd home run for Nashville on Tuesday. First baseman Max Muncy and right fielder Kent Matthes each singled and doubled, and center fielder Billy Burns had a pair of hits in the loss. Starter Angel Castro was charged with 4 runs over 5 innings of work to take the loss, while LHP Ryan Verdugo gave up 2 runs in 4 innings of relief for the Sounds.

Starter Tim Atherton turned in an impressive outing for the Ports on Tuesday, allowing 1 run on just 2 hits while striking out 11, but he exited after 7 innings with the game tied. RHP Tyler Hollstegge entered in the 8th and immediately loaded the bases before giving up a grand slam. Hollstegge ended up striking out three straight batters to retire the side but took the loss on Tuesday. Designated hitter Tyler Marincov singled, walked and homered for Stockton’s only run of the night.

Starter Jordan Schwartz was charged with 3 runs, 2 earned, over 4 1/3 innings to take his 2nd loss for the Snappers, while RHP Kevin Johnson gave up 3 runs in 2 2/3 innings of relief. After Beloit’s first two hurlers had surrendered 6 runs in 7 innings, LHP Jose Torres came on to strike out three in the 8th and ended up striking out 4 over 2 shutout innings. Beloit managed just 6 hits in the game, with outfielder Shawn Duinkerk, shortstop Yairo Munoz and second baseman Trent Gilbert collecting a pair of hits apiece for the Snappers.
