The River Cats lineup exploded for 18 runs on Friday night. Catcher Stephen Vogt led the way with 5 hits, including a pair of home runs, and drove in 6 runs, while third baseman Daric Barton homered and drove in 4, outfielder Michael Taylor tagged a 3-run homer, and first baseman Anthony Aliotti had 2 hits, including a double, and drove in a pair of runs in his second game with Sacramento. Starter Bruce Billings had a rough outing, allowing 6 runs over 5 innings of work, but he still walked away with his 10th win for the Cats.

LHP Carlos Hernandez had another strong start for Midland, allowing 5 hits over 6 scoreless innings, and he left with the game tied 0-0. And it remained tied until the top of the 11th inning, when outfielder Jake Goebbert slugged his 17th home run. But LHP Jeff Urlaub surrendered a run in the bottom of the 11th to tie the game again. Midland managed to push 2 runs across the plate in the top of the 15th, thanks to hits from shortstop Darwin Perez, outfielder Conner Crumbliss and third baseman Jefry Marte to give RHP Nate Long his 1st win on the season.

Starter Raul Alcantara had a bit of a rocky outing on Friday, allowing 3 home runs in 6 innings of work to take the loss. Outfielder Bobby Crocker and second baseman Antonio Lamas both tripled, and first baseman Tony Thompson drove in a run to put the Ports on the board in the 1st.

Starter Vince Voiro had a rough outing for the Snappers, allowing 5 runs, 4 earned, on 5 hits and 4 walks to take his 4th loss on Friday. Designated hitter Chris Bostick tripled and drove in 2 runs, while shortstop Daniel Robertson had a pair of doubles for Beloit.

Starter Deyvi Jimenez had an impressive outing for Vermont on Friday, allowing 1 run on just 2 hits and striking out 9 over 6 innings to earn his 2nd win, while RHP Bobby Wahl struck out 6 in 3 scoreless and hitless innings of relief to pick up his 1st save. Outfielder Jaycob Brugman had a pair of hits, including a triple, and drove in 3 runs for the Lake Monsters.
