LHP Andrew Werner had a shaky start for Sacramento, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits over 6 innings, but he still ended up walking away with his 8th win on Thursday, while RHP Brian Gordon got the final 3 outs to notch his 9th save. Shortstop Adam Rosales collected 3 hits, including a double, and drove in 3 runs, while catcher Stephen Vogt doubled and drove in a pair of runs for the River Cats. First baseman Anthony Aliotti went 0 for 5 in his debut for Sacramento. And with Scott Moore’s recent release, Daric Barton made his first start of the season at third base.

Outfielder Conner Crumbliss hit a 2-run homer to help the cause for the Hounds on Thursday.

Catcher Nick Rickles had a pair of hits, including a triple, and drove in 3 runs, while outfielder Ryan Mathews hit a 2-run homer for the Snappers.

Outfielder Tyler Marincov had 3 hits, including a home run and a double, and drove in 2 runs, while outfielder Herschel Powell doubled and drove in a pair of runs for Vermont.
