Starter Bruce Billings took the loss on Thursday despite doing a good job for the River Cats. He did allow 11 baserunners over 5 2/3 innings of work, but he held Reno to just 2 runs. Unfortunately, the River Cats managed just 6 hits in the game, with their only run coming when outfielder Shane Peterson singled in first baseman Daric Barton in the 7th inning.

RHP James Simmons had another solid outing in his return to starting pitching, allowing 4 runs on just 5 hits over 7 innings to earn his 4th win, while RHP Seth Frankoff struck out 4 in 2 scoreless innings of relief to pick up his 2nd save. Shortstop Addison Russell had a big day at the plate, collecting 3 hits, including his 18th double and his 7th home run to break a 2-2 tie in the 3rd inning, while driving in a pair of runs for the Ports.

Former top pitching prospect Michael Ynoa had his best outing of the season on Thursday, allowing just 2 hits while striking out 5 over 5 scoreless innings to earn his 2nd win and clinch a playoff spot for the Snappers. Designated hitter Ryan Delgado collected 2 doubles and drove in a run, while second baseman Chris Bostick doubled in a pair of runs for Beloit.

RHP Seth Streich had a solid start for the Snappers, allowing 2 runs while striking out 5 over 5 innings of work, but he still ended up taking the loss on Thursday. Outfielder John Wooten collected a pair of hits, and second baseman Chris Bostick drove in the only run of the game for the Snappers.
