Meanwhile, second baseman Grant Green had a big night at the plate, homering, doubling, driving in 3 runs and scoring 3 times for the River Cats.

With the game tied in the top of the 7th inning and the bases loaded, designated hitter Beau Taylor smacked a grand slam to give the RockHounds the lead, which they would never relinquish. Outfielder Jake Goebbert followed up with a grand slam of his own in the 9th, while first baseman Anthony Aliotti, second baseman Conner Crumbliss and third baseman Dusty Coleman also contributed home runs for the RockHounds. RHP Sean Murphy had his second straight shaky start, allowing 4 runs on 5 hits over just 3 1/3 innings, while RHP Mike DeMark tossed 2 2/3 scoreless innings in relief to earn his 1st win.
