Catcher Stephen Vogt, who’s been one of the River Cats’ most productive hitters all season, had a big night on Tuesday, tagging 2 home runs for Sacramento. Outfielder Michael Taylor collected a pair of hits, including a double, and drove in 3 runs, while designated hitter Josh Reddick, making his first rehab appearance with the River Cats, went 1 for 3 with a walk and a stolen base and scored 3 times. Starter Bruce Billings allowed 4 runs, 3 earned, on 7 hits over 5 innings to pick up his 6th win.

Starter Murphy Smith turned in another impressive outing for the RockHounds on Tuesday, allowing just 1 hit while striking out 8 over 7 scoreless innings to earn his 5th win. Third baseman Tyler Ladendorf had 2 doubles and drove in 3 runs, while first baseman Anthony Aliotti also had 2 doubles and drove in a pair of runs, and outfielder Conner Crumbliss and designated hitter Jake Goebbert contributed 3 hits apiece for the RockHounds.

Starter Drew Granier had another solid outing for Stockton on Tuesday, allowing 2 runs while striking out 12 over 6 2/3 innings to earn his 5th win and run his league-leading strikeout total to 80. Outfielder Rashun Dixon homered, doubled and drove in 2 runs, while outfielder Myrio Richard had 2 doubles and an RBI, and shortstop Addison Russell collected a pair of hits, including his 4th triple, and drove in a run for the Ports.

With the game tied, outfielder John Wooten hit his 8th home run to give the Snappers the lead just moments before the game was called early due to lightning. Designated hitter Matt Olson and outfielder Brett Vertigan drove in a run apiece, while third baseman Renato Nunez collected a pair of hits. Starter Seth Streich had a shaky outing for the Snappers, allowing 5 runs, 3 earned, on 8 hits over 5 innings of work, but he was still able to walk away with his 5th win for Beloit.
